From the Mouth of Babes

Jenna: Rylee, did you brush your teeth today?
Rylee: Yes. (with attitude, of course)
Jenna: Because, your breath stinks.
Rylee: Well, duh. I ate lunch.

Jenna walks out the back door to continue playing.

Rylee walks over to me.

Rylee: (to me) But...smell my armpits!
Rylee: (as I'm laughing and shaking my head "no") But, I put on my deodorant this morning!

Oh, to capture the MANY moments in a day where I laugh out loud!

Things I'm Enjoying Today

• the laughter of Jenna & Asa as they find something funny together
• Jett sleeping 8 straight hours!
• watching our big kids get excited about their little flowering plants
• free Chick-fil-A spicy chicken biscuits
• how my kids always say "I'm that girl/guy" as they pick a character in the movie or tv show they like best
• glancing through a few blogs and finding some great deals...saving money without spending lots of time
• the smell of clean laundry
• sunshine
• and a glass of sweet iced tea!

It's not hard to find things to be thankful for...when I take the time to stop and look!

What Happened To His Forehead?

my mom asked the question.

ahh..his forehead. you mean his cute little forehead that now has two big marks on it?
yes, that forehead.

well, last week at preschool the letter of the week was T. so, for show-and-tell, he got a (Carolina) Tarheel Tattoo --on his forehead!

it was cute. not where I would have put it, but cute.

when he came home, it was gone and in its place was a big red mark.

after several hours, I asked "what happened?" (for the 50th time). He finally said, "[girls name] didn't like my tattoo."

THE BOY SCRAPED IT OFF WITH HIS FINGERNAILS BECAUSE A GIRL IN HIS CLASS DIDN'T LIKE IT!

I'm in trouble, y'all! ...or that girl will be.
